About Us

Fine Art. Heavy Innuendo. Zero Apologies.

Prude & Produce was born, as all sensible business ventures are, out of a dirty joke.

It started with a piece of corn. Specifically, a vintage botanical image shared among close friends that carried a rather unmistakable, yet wonderfully subtle, double entendre. When one friend declared, "I would genuinely put that on a tea towel," a lightbulb flickered to life.

We at Prude & Produce have always shared a deep appreciation for two things: high-level innuendo and Victorian botanical art. There is an undeniable classiness, wonder, and sense of grand exploration in 19th-century scientific engravings. Combining that immaculate historical aesthetic with terribly dry, understated filth felt like the only responsible thing to do.

Craftsmanship & Kitchen Banter

We believe that your kitchen should be a place of quiet refinement, excellent food, and subtle disapproval toward boring homeware.

Every Prude & Produce towel is built around three core principles:

  • Pure, Unbleached Cotton: We print exclusively on 100% unbleached cotton. It feels substantial in the hand, absorbs properly, folds neatly, and holds up to real kitchen use.

  • Archival-Quality Prints: The detailed linework of our restored 19th-century illustrations is printed using durable, crisp inks that won't fade away after a trip through the wash.

  • Environmental Responsibility: We care deeply about the world we explore (and joke about). All of our towels are printed on demand right here in the UK by Inkthreadable, ensuring zero unnecessary textile waste. Your order arrives packaged in 100% recyclable, plastic-free paper envelopes, because we hate single-use plastic as much as we hate uninspired kitchen decor.

Who Are These For?

Our towels are designed for those who love to cook, entertain, and leave their dinner guests doing a double take at the drying rack.

Whether you’re buying a housewarming gift for a friend with a questionable sense of humor, looking for the ultimate conversation starter for your own home, or simply appreciate intricate botanical history wrapped in a dirty joke, you’re in good company.

Welcome to Prude & Produce. Elevate your kitchen banter.
